eMap International is pleased to
announce a groundbreaking education and research partnership with the
AmericaView (AV) program. This collaboration together with the support of
DigitalGlobe and GeoEye allows eMap to offer AV members discounted pricing and
custom licensing never before offered to the academic market. Our goal is
to make it easier for AmericaView partners to acquire and share high resolution
satellite imagery with research scientists and their students in the classroom
in ways not possible before.
eMap’s high resolution
satellite imagery offerings include data from IKONOS, QuickBird,
WorldView-1 and the acclaimed GeoEye-1 – the
highest resolution commercial satellite launched to date. Along with our
ability to deliver both tasked and archived satellite imagery, we also offer
near complete US
aerial imagery coverage as well.
Key advantages of
the AV-eMap high resolution imagery agreement include:
- Superior global archive
coverage and tasking availability
- Offering products from both
DigitalGlobe and GeoEye, the AV-eMap agreement gives you maximum
flexibility when it comes to archive coverage, product options, and
access to new satellite collections.
eMap imagery sources currently include:
IKONOS, QuickBird, WorldView-1 and DigitalGlobe
aerial imagery. GeoEye-1 and
WorldView-2 imagery will also be included as these satellites become
operational.
- Special academic pricing and
additional tiered AV discounts offered nowhere else
- By purchasing imagery through
the AV-eMap agreement, AV partners will receive exclusive discounts on top of the academic
archive pricing already offered by DigitalGlobe and GeoEye. In addition, the agreement has
guaranteed additional percentage discount-tiers built in. As the total volume of AV sales
increases during the year, so do your savings.
- Ability to leverage the
AV-eMap agreement to share the cost of imagery
- Recognizing the economic
challenges we all face, the AV-eMap agreement allows you to share the
cost of the imagery you purchase with all the members of your research
team, not just other AV members.
These members can be other academics not involved in the AV
program, non-profits, government organizations and commercial entities.
- Flexible data licensing allowing
you to share the use of imagery
- Both DigitalGlobe and GeoEye
have adjusted their typical academic licensing agreements, allowing you to
share your high resolution imagery with multiple end-users at no
additional cost. As an added
incentive, all imagery purchased under the AV-eMap agreement can be
stored and shared with partners for teaching and research purposes. The data provide under this agreement must
be purchased by the academic partner and used for educational and
research purposes only. AV commercial partners may use data under
this agreement, as long as the data is not used in a profit-generating
capacity.
- Unrivaled customer service and
product knowledge
- eMap International is your point
of contact for a wide variety of high resolution imagery products under
this agreement. We provide fast, professional
and knowledgeable customer service.
The eMap Sales Team offers pre-sale purchasing advice, accurate
archive searches and reliable customer support throughout your
purchase. After you receive your
imagery, eMap continues to provide technical advice allowing you to get
the most value from your geospatial data.
As the only US
reseller with a strong focus on the academic market, eMap International will
provide you with the best product and service needed to reach your academic
goals.
